Bayou Texar Foundation

Dedicated to Restoring and Preserving Bayou Texar

Find Out More

The Bayou Texar Foundation was established in response to environmental concerns voiced throughout the Bayou. As the public's voice, BTF is dedicated to restoring and preserving the water quality, coast, and habitats of the entire Bayou Texar area.

Through coordination of restoration activities, education, advocacy, monitoring of the regulatory process, applied scientific research, and citizen action, BTF works in partnership with all segments of the community to reclaim the bayou for this and future generations.

Bayou Bio

Bayou Texar divides East Hill and East Pensacola Heights, two of Pensacola's most sought after and growing neighborhoods.

The park provides free access for residents to tennis courts, a dog park, a children's play park, a boat luanch and picnic pavillions with bbq grills.

Bayou Texar is a major boating hub for many residents. Multiple boat launch ramps along with the docks and full service marina and resturant.

We support helping the environment through projects like the current dredging to remove silt from the 2014 flood.
